Tour of Fife 2016

Well done to everyone who took part in the Tour of Fife 2016. It was great to see so many of the club along - 25 of us!

Tour of Fife is brilliant from bringing out the competitive side in everyone, and we had some good battles going this year. Lee O'Connor, Richard Grieve and Matty Low all kept each other going at the front of the pack. John Mcintosh and Peter Derrick finished with only 11 seconds separating them. Ruth Toller and Brian Dunbar had a good battle going through each race. And Tim and Jackie Heilbronn may have had the closest competition, but unfortunately Tim had to pull out of race 4. Possibly the benefit of his marriage too..

Lee O'Connor had a great first ToF, coming 2nd MV40 - good work Lee!

Annual Club Relay – Saturday 9th July

This Saturday see our annual club relay approximately 50km over 5 legs.  The idea behind this is to get as many members involved as possible on each leg and to make this a sociable event where we all run together at a nice gentle pace.

We will start in St Andrews at 10am and finish in Carnoustie around 3pm at Gillian Sangster’s house where all are also invited to the post run BBQ.

The legs are as follows:

Leg 1: 10am St Andrews to Leuchars – 6 miles on road

Leg 2: 11am Leuchars to Foodmek Car Park Tayport – 9 miles on trails

Leg 3: 12.30pm Foodmek Car Park Tayport to City Quay – 5.5 miles on road

Leg 4: 1.20pm City Quay to Monifieth – 5.5 miles on road

Leg 5: 2.15pm Monifieth to Carnoustie – 5.5 miles on road

Complete Route can be found here:

If you haven’t done so already can you please indicate on the facebook page which leg or legs you would like to do and also if you will be attending the BBQ – the club will provide the food, just bring your own drink.  We will also arrange for transportation between the legs if required. If you don't have facebook, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
