The route starts near Broughty Ferry Castle and goes along footpaths towards Monifieth, at which point it turns back towards Broughty Ferry. To make up the 10km distance, there is an out-and-back section at around 7km, before returning to finish near the castle. The approximate route is at https://www.strava.com/activities/13702279882, although the location of the start/finish and the length of the out-and-back section is is slightly different following the official course measurement.

Results/Prizes: Results will be based on gun time and will be available on Webscorer and the DRR website shortly after the event. As we are running this as a free trial/test event this year, there will be no cash prizes. However, wine/beer/chocolates will be awared to the first runners and teams and will be presented as soon as possible to 10am. The men's and women's team winners will be decided using XC-style scoring, with the first six runners from each club to count.

Safety: The course uses paths that are shared with walkers and cyclists. Please use reasonable caution, follow volunteers' instructions and be courteous to those we are sharing the paths with. In line with ScottishAthletics rules, headphones/earphones are not permitted, with the exeption of bone conduction headphones.

Water station: Water will be available approximately halfway through the race and at the finish line.

Refreshments: Hot and cold drinks and our wonderful spread will be available at the finish. Please remember to bring your own cup/mug.
